<< Boy, I turn my back for a day and the Germans start taking over. Here are
 some alternates (from Greek)

 Leontaria - Lion's place
 Leontohora- Lion's land
 Leontaforos- Lion's path
 Vounohora- Hill land
Hora ton Maveoleonton - Land of the black lion (kinda long)
 Notiomeros- Southlands
 ...or maybe.....
 Notiomeros- Southpark :)

Just to add to the variety, I went web hunting and found an on-line Welsh
Dictionary. I did some digging around using some ideas drawn from the
previous suggestions.

According to the dictionary, "lion" equals "llew(-od or -ys)"; "hawk" equals
"cudyll
(-od)", "curyll(-od)", "gwalch" (or "gweilch"), or "hebog(-au)"; "land" equals
"bro
(-yod)", "gwlad" ("gwledydd"), or "tir(-oedd)"; "of" equals "gan"; "the"
equals "y" ("yr" or "'r"; and "south" equals "de" ("deau"), "deheubarth(-au)",
or "deheudir(-oedd)". With this in mind, here's some possible suggestions:

"Lionhawk" becomes "Llewys Cudyllod"
"Lion Land" becomes "Llewys Hebogau" (possibly "Llewyshebogau"?)
"Land of the Lion" becomes "Bro gan yr Llewys" (possibly "Broganyrllewys")
"South Land" becomes "Deau Broydd" (possibly "Deaubroydd")

(I'm not even going to touch "South Park").

Of course, this is strictly an amateur attempt based on infomation gleaned
from a dictionary without any celtic grammatical skill, so I'm certainly open
to corrections.
