I lack the ability to get this information to folks living in Louisiana.
Obviously, a bill like this one would save Louisianans a lot of the worry
and suffering and grief that the last storm caused them.  Please: if you
know people in Louisiana, or even know people who may know people there,
pass this on.  It could save lives.

Evacuation Plans Bill
Attention, Louisiana residents! On Tuesday, April 17, at 2:30 P.M., you are
invited to bring your pet and attend a rally at the state capitol in support
of SB 607, legislation that will ensure that service animals and pets are
made part of state and local disaster evacuation plans. Stacy Wolf, Senior
Director, Legislative Services and Anti-Cruelty Training, and Sherry Rout,
ASPCA Southern Region Legislative Liaison will be attending the Senate
Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday, April 18 to testify in support of
SB 607 on behalf of the ASPCA.
