populace members supporting it and a solid track

In the Stargate area, I've seen my share of Cantons becoming Shires, and Shires becoming Baronies,
over the years. It's important to consider WHY a branch, principality or Kingdom begins - and
it's base root motivation should be for a positive reason.

Negative reasons for split-off new branch forming with respect to the original branch, like 'we
don't like your politics', or 'you never let us be officers', or 'we never get any awards', in my
experience; don't seem to last - the new branch was founded on sour ground.

But for branches that split-off their parent branch for right and positive reasons, like 'we have
a huge household with a common focus', or 'we have so many folks in our area, and it's too hard to
travel into the founding branch regularly they we hold our own local gatherings', and the parent
branch has sub-deputies in the split-off branch, that it's apparent the new branch is able to
manage their own administration effectively. The branches founded on sweet and solid ground tend
to flourish and retain a healthy relationship with their parent branch.
