My apologies for being unclear. The laundry list in

was perhaps too subtle a sign that I was not being entirely serious.
Perhaps I should have thrown in acolyte, aide, appendage, courtier,
dangle-tail, dependent, flunky, gunsel, myrmidon, pursuivant, shadow,
sidekick, trainbearer, and vassal?
In any event: when I became the man of my dear liege lady in the
Middle Kingdom, Mistress Kay of Tria Asterium, most beautiful,
most gracious, and most generous of ladies, I was glad to be
"her man", of life and limb and earthly worship. Not "her man" in the
same way that her lord is "her man", and not "hers" in the same way
as a serf or a set of feast gear, but still: her man.
