The details for the Brazoria Heritage Day demo have been finalized. The demo will be on March 6 from approximately 11:00 am until about 3:00 pm in Brazoria, TX. I will be there to set up between 9:00 and 9:30. It will be difficult to get to the site from 10:00-10:30 as there will be a parade. Also, parking is limited. I am hoping to have a drop off area, so we can drop off our things, and then go park. I will not know the particulars on this until I get there.
We will be outside, but I am bringing a 10 x 10 pavilion for sun/rain protection. We will have some small tables and a few chairs, but you will probably need to bring your own if you want/need them. If you let me know what you need, I will try to accomodate you.
If you are a fighter, light or heavy, we have a 10 x 10 area to set up a list field. However, we would need the equipment to do so, or I need to know what we need. Also, you might need to bring your own opponent. If you cannot find an opponent, maybe you can just demonstrate the moves.
I am doing Fiber Arts, but we will welcome any A&S activities. Also, if you just have things that would make good “show and tell,” we would like to see them also.
I will have some business cards and small pamphlets to hand out. I do not have any other handouts. If anyone has some, feel free to bring them.
The directions to the Heritage Day is to make your way to Angleton from the Houston area on either Hwy 288S or Hwy 35 W. If taking 288S, exit at Hwy 35 and turn right (west). If taking Hwy 35 W, continue through Angleton past Hwy 288B and Hwy 288. Once on Hwy 35 west of Angleton continue to Hwy 521S. Turn left onto Hwy 521S. This will go directly into Brazoria. Once in Brazoria, continue to Hwy 36 and turn left (east). Heritage Day will be set up at the museum (school) on the right. I will try to get a drop off point at Smith Street (1 block east of Hwy 521).
We hope to see you there.
