Greetings:

You are receiving this because you are either your Kingdom’s Deputy for
Combat Archery or are in charge of Combat Archery for your Kingdom. If you
are no longer this person, please forward it to who is, and send me a
correction of information so I can update my contact list.

There are two quick clarifications of rules for this coming Pennsic.
These additions will not be in the Pennsic booklet. They were approved by
the Pennsic Marshal-in-Charge.

Please utilize whatever method you prefer to pass the word to the combat
archers in your Kingdom as soon as possible. This should give folks a heads
up for what to expect at this year’s Pennsic. I do realize that it is only
a couple of weeks before Pennsic. These items just popped up.

I have been approached about if a Canadian piping can be used as a
Sil-0-flex equivalent for combat archery ammunition. This is an unknown
product and we will need some time to research and find out for sure that
it is O.K.

*For Pennsic 42 the Canadian "Pipe with a Stripe" will not be allowed as
combat archery ammunition. I very much would like to see a sample and a
full spec sheet on it to do the necessary research to see if it is truly a
sil-o-flex equivalent for possible future use. I don't want to allow it
without the proper research. Two weeks before Pennsic is not enough time
to allow this to be done.*

*
PVC bows will NOT be allowed this year at Pennsic on any battle field
involving combat archery. I also believe next year when the East is in
charge this rule will continue to be in place.

*If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I have been
making every effort to pass the word as soon as possible involving combat
archery at the upcoming Pennsic.

*Disclaimer: * Every attempt will always be made to try and ensure that the
online rules posted for Pennsic combat archery as well as the Pennsic
Booklet reflect the most current rules. Due to a variety of circumstances
this doesn't always happen. The Pennsic
Combat Archery Marshal-in-Charge (working with the Pennsic
Marshal-in-Charge) reserves the right to make any modifications
as necessary. If any changes are made, every attempt will be made to
notify the people in charge of each Kingdom's combat archery program so
they can notify those in their Kingdom as soon as possible beforehand. If
the situation is such that changes must be made at War then that is
also within the scope of the Pennsic Combat Archery Marshal-in-Charge.*
