Greetings Ansteorra!<br><br>In two weeks, the Barony of Bryn Gwlad will be having its Fall Baronial Hunt and Harvest Faire. Come, join with us in celebration of the bounty of our great Barony and the last hunt of the season! His Excellency will be holding two tournaments, one to select the Champion of the Bow and then the second to find the new Baronial Champion of the Sword. See below for the rules of the Chivalric List.
<br><br>But as this is Bryn Gwlad, we have something special planned!<br><br>Both Championships will have their final rounds decided on the stage of the Curtain Theatre during Court!<br><br>That evening, partake of the feast being prepared by Master Pug. All day, the smells of the kitchen will be drifting across the field as his staff cooks a variety of game over an open fire.
<br><br>We will also be having youth boffer, a unicorn hunt Sunday morning, and a heraldic scavenger hunt. There is fun for all!<br><br>Come one, come all for the wonderful display of honor and chivalry. We open our arms to the Kingdom and hope all will join us for this truly wonderful day.

Come out to Bryn Gwlad Baronial Hunt where armored combat will have center<br>stage. Literally.<br><br>Interested? Then read on. Forewarned is forearmed.<br><br>The tournament will begin after lunch with each of the combatants presenting
<br>themselves to his most excellent Excellency, Thomas. Use heralds and<br>showmanship to entertain the crowd.<br><br>Each fighter will be assigned to one of two groups, gold or silver. Each<br>fighter will also be given five cards, one for each weapons style to be
<br>used: sword and buckler (or shield), great weapon/polearm, two single-handed<br>weapons, single-handed mass weapon, and spear. Loaner weapons will be<br>provided.<br><br>Pairings will made matching silver against gold. As the pairings are
<br>announced for the first round the gold fighter will play a card declaring<br>their weapons choice. The silver fighter will then play a card declaring<br>what weapon they will bring. Each card may only be used once by a fighter.
<br>Which side goes first will alternate each round.<br><br>In the fifth round, fighters will only have one card left and must fight<br>that style against the style left to their opponents.<br><br>Finalist rounds after the fifth may be used to narrow the field to four
<br>fighters.<br><br>The final four fighters will fight barrier fights on stage during evening<br>court. Weapons forms for the finals will be great weapons, polearm, or<br>single sword, at the Baron's discretion.<br><br>How cool is that?! Fighting on a real stage in the presence of the nobles
