Awards -- a query..

 Greetings to all.

    As to turning down awards, I do know people who have let it be known 
that they were not interested in awards by informing friends, heralds, 
and concerned nobility.

    I also know several people with incredible talents that purposefully 
do not attempt to display or show their talents in the SCA because they 
want to be known for a new field they are trying to excel in.

   Other than that, I don't know how someone could decline an award, as 
you do not have to be present to have in given to you.
