The Baron and Baroness of Elfsea invite you to attend the
Elfsea Baronial College
and
Artisan Competition
November 18, 1995 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Esters Road
at Hwy 183, Irving. The site opens at 9:00am and closes at 11:00pm,
with the first class at 10:00am.
Classes include:
Basic Embroidery for Fighters Advanced Needlework
Basic Costuming Byzantine Costume Overview
Women's Undergarments & Veils Beginning Armoring
Brewing Shoe Construction
Copper Enamelling Woodcarving
Wooden Chest Making Scroll Painting
Celtic Knotwork Military History of 1066
Period Letterwriting Precedence Heraldry
Research Fundamentals SCA Resources on the Internet
Courtly Graces Peerage & Nobility
A Feast of four removes will be prepared by Lady Mara of Rede, and is
available for the first 100 reservations. The famous Combat Kitchen
led by Sir Arthur of the Fen will offer lunch.
Adult site fee $5.00
Feast $6.00
Children 6 - 12 (Feast included) $5.00
Family maximum $33.00
SCA non-members add $3.00
The Artisan Competition will be based on a body of work displayed.
There are many categories, and each person may enter as many categories
as they wish, but only 3 entries per category. There is no time limit
for how new the work must be, but items that have won in previous Elfsea
artisan competitions should not be entered. Documentation is strongly
encouraged, and will increase your score.
