THE AMTGARD DUCHY OF TURRIS LUNAE (San Antonio) AND THE TIGER CLAN PRESENT
THE MID REIGN OF KING ZEPHRAM MACLAREN ELEVENTH MONARCH OF THE CELESTIAL
KINGDOM January 19-22, Burnet County Fair Grounds, Burnet TX.
In addition to the usual 200+ award filled Courts, all night Ditch battles
(similar to your meles), friendly merchants, and excessive carousing we have
planed several other entertainments. There will be a Castle Battle in which
each side will get a Castle built of hey to defend. There will be a
childrens mini-quest so that parents who bring youngsters to the site can
sleep in a little on Saturday morning. There will be a savory feast of
Gryphon Fajitas. Saturday morning sweet roll vendors will wander the site
selling hot sweet rolls with the profits to benefit the National Wildlife
Federation's "Save the Tiger" campaign. Perhaps the legendary "Circle of
Death" will even take place. Finally, with Spring War III just a month away
preparations will be in full gear. This will be a chance to get together
with your good or evil brethren and make plans. If weather becomes a
problem we can retreat to the barn which can hold a couple hundred people and
their stuff. Also there is a large heated room attached to the barn IF YOU
KEEP THE DOOR CLOSED.
The Burnet County Fair Grounds are located in Burnet Texas about one mile
south of the Intersection of US 281 and Tx 29. From San Antonio and points
south take US 281 north until just inside the Burnet town limits then turn
left into the fairgrounds. If you reach the intersection with Tx 29 then
you've gone to far. From Austin and points east take US 183 north out of
Austin, turn left on Tx 29 drive to Burnet, take a left on US 281 in Burnet
drive about a mile and turn right into the fairgrounds. From Killeen and
Points North Take US 190 west to US 281, turn left and take 281 south through
Burnet and turn right into the fairgrounds about a mile past the intersection
of US 281 and Tx 29. For an actual map email ches at io.com.
