SCA Net info

Greetings!

I for one would not have found the SCA without my handy dandy web browser/
newsreader. After a few months of searching used bookstores/hobby
shops/sci-fi and gaming outlets, I was out of ideas....(sheesh, we *can* be
hard to find). For some reason, I had'nt thought of the Web. When it finally
dawned on me, all I did was search for 'SCA' and BOOM! there it was right in
front of me! I found  the Rialto, posted a help message and got a rapid
reply. After a few "feeling out" messages, we swapped phone #'s and met. And
the rest, as they say, is (creative)history. (har har!)

My point is that while phone numbers and addresses on the net can be a
problem,(I am a little leary about putting mine on) email is a great way to
meet and help newcomers. You don't have to give your phone out, but a
meeting time and place is a *safe* way of getting people involved. I'm not
worried about people having my email address, even if they are some psycho,
because it would be hard to track me down, plus if they kept sending me
unwanted or prank mail I could just change my address. (yeah, I know thats a
pain)
