Web/Rules clarification...

Good Morning,
There has been some confusion on what I "volunteered" for recently
regarding the web and the rules.
What I wanted to volunteer for was to take the Ansteorra rules/forms
and maintain them on the web. These being Kingdom Law, fighter
guidelines, etc. I did this in order to have a single person who would
be responsible for it all. Although some people have put some work
into it, I volunteered since I *thought* the question had been asked
who would maintain all of it and there weren't any volunteers. Since
these are things that I think would have a wonderful home on the net,
I volunteered.
When I asked for help in finding out who to talk to, I meant to get
approval to maintain these files on the web and to get current
versions and all updates via an easily HTML'ized format. Although
retyping/scanning is a possibility, it isn't an easy job and someone
more than likely has the information in computer format somewhere. As
well, it could be easy to miss a month of the Black Star and the Web
information be out of date/incorrect.
I understand that they are only Kingdom Law after they are signed by
everyone, published in the Black Star, etc, but after that, putting
them directly on the web would be of great benefit to a large number
of people. (Assuming we aren't trying to make a profit from selling
our rules but expecting people to follow them even if they don't buy a
copy. *wink*)
I think having the information readily and freely available would be
great. I would be willing to bet that people would print copies out on
their own dime in order to take a copy with them to events/fighter
practice/meetings/etc. This just means that the Kingdom doesn't have
to foot the printing/shipping/storage bill.
As well, I know there are plenty of good HTML programmers out there. I
also don't want to take any of the Kingdom/group web pages away. I
want to be responsible for adding/maintaining the feature of on-line
Kingdom laws/guidelines.
Sorry for not being clear what I wanted to see be done in these
regards.
Ciao,
