Did you/ the drummers go on for the full ten minutes?  Frequent swapping
off is the key here.  One of the best evenings I spent was Erich would
sing, Conn would sing, someone else would sing, and we all would join when
we could, repeat till evening was over.

Now, I am one of the last people to ask, as I was traumatized by a
percussion teacher in college, so I may be touchy or weird.  HOwever, it
always seems that the doumbecks get started at oh, say, 10 amish, and go
on til 3-4 am with only very short breaks.  That's a long time to hear
doumbecks/ etc.
