Whining and complaining

Greetings,
Being from out of kingdom, I have to ask one IMPORTANT question:
What do you consider to be a "populace meeting"? Are we talking once a
month baronial/shire type meetings or something more specific? Remember,
I've never played SCA out of the kingdom of An Tir.
My general experience:
* Baronial meetings (w/baron and baroness/baronial officers):
Mostly mundane clothing, most people come straight from work
* Weekly dance practice: Mostly in garb (I personally don't like
lugging around garb to school, as it requires another bag
entirely and therefore end up in mundanes, sticking out like a sore thumb.)
* Weekly fighter practice: The fighters in armor, the fencers in gear,
the spectators in mundanes.
* "Afters" (from what I've heard, this is the concept of a post-
revel, but at a restaurant instead of at someone's home): Mostly
in garb, depending on which event it is after.
