For what it's worth, "Pellon" is a test material for practice of screen
printing, the history I have here on "Pellon" is that the pellon is a
parchment or print that is usually used for testing ink or art upon.  I can
suggest that maybe a "Pell" would fit in this context as a test object for
which budding fighters can practice or otherwise wail upon, and may be drawn
upon with a characture of a target person?

Just a thought.
