Good Morning,
Well my lady and myself have finally decided to narrow things down on
our personas (besides - oh, somewhere in England near Wales somewhere
near the 11th - 14th century). We'd like your help in this endeavor.
Well we believe we've narrowed it down fairly well, and want to do
further research on it. Now the question is, where does one find
*good* material for this? UT's library has all too much material to
try and go through and find *good* material. We need material on
everything including clothing, housing, day to day life, customs,
populations, brewing, cooking, pavillions (although our personas may
not have had one, we eventually want want for camping), tools, etc.
(Although we are already going to break general custom since I am
doing the brewing instead of my lady.)
It *looks* like we're going to be from the village of Wigmore near
Wigmore castle in Herefordshire. The time is roughly 1066 - 1150.
(Still narrowing that down.) We have a copy of "Life in a Medieval
Village" already which gives us *some* of the above items, but a
couple centuries later. (There may not be anything real acurate
closer.)
Ciao,
