The intent of this rule is to keep fencers (and foils/epees)
from being hit with ratan and armored fighters form being poked
in the eye with a foil. As long as you keep them far enough away 
from each other that this won't happen, they are effectivly on 
seperate "fields".

This virtual limit is a good thing here in Ansteorra because
otherwise you could consider the entire Gulf Plains one big
"field". ;-)
