This is incorrect.  There are no such limits in the Middle Kingdom,
though the sheer amount of work and expense involved in being the
Crowns of the Midrealm pretty much limits the number of dukes and
duchesses in the first place.  That combined with the year-round "Pro
Tour" of major tournaments and the large (nearly 2000) base of
authorized fighters pretty much guarantees few repeats.

There have been (to the best of my knowledge) three who have been King
of the Midrealm three times - Andrew of Seldomrest, Alen Elegil, and
Talymar.  None have sat the throne more than thrice, and no lady has
been Queen more than twice.

Remember, the Midrealm is currently so large that there aren't enough
weekends in a reign to attend an event in every barony, let alone the
shires and cantons (there are currently over 125 individual groups), and
is geographically about as large as the Roman Empire at it's height.
