I just spoke to a friend that lives in Sweetwater, Texas.

Currently (1:19pm CDST) it is 52 degrees, Light rain falling with low 
cloudy, gray skies. Their forcast is said to be more of the same 
today with some heavy thunderstorms possible into the evening.

The NWS has also placed them under a flash flood watch. Which it can 
do very suddenly in that area.

He said more of the same is expected for Saturday.

I also found names of several other motels in Sweetwater.....

Holiday Inn
Ranch House Motel
Comfort Inn (brand new?)
Sunday House

All of these are located on I-20 in town.

I wish I could come. My Lady is going with my son. I have to stay and 
keep our dogs and daughter in check :)(
