ANST - Another New Question

The highest paying job that I have seen requires a BS in computer science and some
grunt-paying-your-dues-time in the field. Not hard to get with weekends off. There are
many far and wide that have achieved this and with the market so hungry for technical
employees you may even get to bypass the grunt work and go straight to the 20.00/hr if
you are ..very.. lucky. Consulting is the way to go if you have the experience or a
really good resume that lists all the work you did at college reworded to look like paid
work.

I do not have a degree but make more than half of that by paying my dues and doing the
grunt work, (late nights instead of weekends), for about 4 months. Self taught. I
understand that I am being paid at the bottom price for my field. But hey my weekends are
free, I am not in a union, I get one week paid vacation, free medical coverage, cake and
ice cream on our birthday's, and my hair is hip length. Yeah I understand that long hair
is ok on women but the programmers around me wear shorts and tank tops and have pony
tails. Once in a great while we gotta dress up when the CEO comes in from London to see a
demo of the programmers work. The freedom is incredible and this type of job is not
unique. I hear of many others that have it much better off.

five weeks and counting.....

: What would be the ideal modern job for an SCAer. It would need lots of time
: off for eventing, a relaxed dress code (so the men can have long hair and
: beards if they choose), good money, etc. Any ideas?
