Yes they are safer than wood/fiberglass. However from what I have read hear
and other lists they are not very effictive with the possable exception of
crosbows. If you would rather that the archers were not a factor in battles
that would be one way to go. The reports I read Estrella had about 5 archers
per side (this may be a gross under statment but it was not disputed) while
Gull War was reported to have 20 or so on Ansteorra's side and the
Trimarin's had more. Their were thousands of arrows shot in the battles at
the last Gulf War. That number will only go up with Gluf War VII.
One way to get rid of those damn archers.
