The problem is, tennis players are accustomed to mobility, which makes 
them hard to run down because they're not encumbered by armor.  And if 
the are cornered, they can turn on you ferociously and crawl you like 
enraged mink.  It's a lot surer to have an archer kneecap them before you 
close in.
