Disclaimers - Web Pages

Unto the members of the Ansteorran mailing list do I bring greetings and
salutations from HL William FitzBubba, Deputy Kingdom Chronicler for
Financial Reporting and Kingdom Calendar Requests.

Now hear the words of Lord Barat FitzWalter Reynolds, Ansteorran Kingdom
Chronicler, who as I type is busy finishing up the March Black Star:

All groups that have Web pages with direct links from the Kingdom of
Ansteorra page (any page that starts with www.ansteorra.org) must
include a standard disclaimer as a part of their >base< page.

The base page is defined as the first page that a user would see when
they go to your site.  (It's also sometimes called a home page.)

An example of the disclaimer is available at
http://www.ansteorra.org
at the bottom of the page.

Groups with direct links from the Ansteorran web page that do not have a
disclaimer on their Web site's base page by 15 February will have their
links removed from the Ansteorran web page.

The purpose of the disclaimer on a Web page is to protect the Society by
stating that materials on that page are not deliniations of official SCA
policy.  It also establishes a copyright date for the material.
