Greetings, Cosyns,

Lyonel ici.

Master Blackfox asks:

>	What if an SCA source provided a condom which failed?
>	Think about that.

Funny how no one has sued for condom failure anywhere yet, I mean
considering how litigious our society has become and considering how many
brittle, decades-old, cheaply-made condoms have been purchased in gas
station bathrooms over the years. Still, I think the lack of suits is
probably because (1) proving failure of the condom and proving the source of
the failed condom are both nigh unto impossible, (2) pregnant or STD
infected folks (and their parents) usually have far more pressing concerns
than where they got the condom, and (3) few such cases actually involve the
old TV sitcom standard "but--gosh--it was only one time." And, please,
before you start posting your "But I knew this one girl who" stories, note
that I did say "few such cases" not "no such case."

If you really want something to worry about, worry that a fighter will
eventually sue the SCA for brain damage ("I swear, Your Honor, before I
started fighting, I could spell 'litigate' and 'ludicrous' and 'lucre'; now
I can't even remember what them thar words mean."). If the suit happens,
the plaintiff'll win. Those waivers never mean squat when you get to court.
