As I read your original posting, the implication was that Knights take
advantage of the incumbrence of the baldric. I can see how this would be
insulting to Sir Gunthar, and any Knight. No true Knight takes unfair
advantage of their opponent.
In order for a Knight to have this particular advantage, The student or Master
wearing the Baldric will have to have made a simple yet grave mistake. If
anything it was meant to be a poke at those of US who wear a baldric while
fighting, thereby offering an advantage by our mistake, and to date, I have
not met a Knight who, and rightfully so, wouldn't take your head in a
heartbeat if you make a mistake during combat and offer it to them on you
shield.
Again, when reading your original post the implication was that you
did think your MoA was mistreated.
To clear up the confusion with even more silt, (grin), I believe I only stated
that the King asked for Daniel's belt back, and being a supporter of his King,
and knowing the King would do right and fair by him, he promptly agreed and
returned his belt, to then immediately receive a baldric. I was attempting to
imply that Daniel completely trusted his King. If you are referring to my
comment about belts who did not want Daniel to have a belt, I can't really
comment because all my info is second hand, but I never intended to intimate
the King, Daniel, or Myself had any ill-feeling toward the entire proceedings
about being laterally elevated to MOA instead of a Knight.
