Gilpatrik Forrester asked:
>What was the final gate count for the total number of people?

I believe the count announced in court was 2518.

This compares to just under 2000 last year and about 500 for Gulf
Wars I. This makes Gulf Wars the THIRD (not the second as announced)
biggest SCA event behind Estrella and Pennsic.

I imagine that they are going to have to create a more organized
method of alloting land. This year Ansteorra had a terrific location
near the center of everything while Trimaris was off in the boondocks.
I loved my location and wish I could keep it indefinitely, but I
doubt that will happen.

The water system/septic system still needs some improvement.

They had classes both inside the main building and in an outside
tent this year, rather than having fewer classes scattered around
the site like last year. There was also a nice set of classes put
on in persona in the Telmark encampment which were independant of
the event classes. These included some hands-on blacksmithing
classes.

I also wish they would another day or two to Gulf Wars. That would make
the drive even more worthwhile.

Despite some rain off and on, it was a wonderful event. There were lots
of classes, lots of merchants and from what I hear, a lot of combat.
