The members of Black Oak Keep invite you to the 5th Annual BLACK OAK
KEEP CHAMPIONSHIP, November 7-9, 1997 at Camp Harlow in Kellogg, TX.

Site opens at 4 pm, November 7 and closes November 9 at 2 pm.  The site
is wet.  Ground fires and pets are allowed.  The site is primitive and
seating is limited, so please bring your own water, tables, and chairs
if at all possible.

ACTIVITIES
*Heavy Competition: Bear Pit
*Light Competition: Bear Pit
*Archery Competition: A target shoot, 3 shots for score.
                  
*Arts and Science Competition: Popular Vote
*Children's Activities:  Two hours of historical fun, but not a
baby-sitter. Sorry, but school age children only! 
*Bardic Circle: Non-competition.  Refreshments included (that means
there's a keg!).
*CATAPULT AND SIEGE WEAPON COMPETITION:  Three person team must move a
siege weapon 50 feet and set up to fire at a target. While you are
moving and firing you will be under fire by archers, just like at Gulf
War. 
*Court to be hosted by His Royal Majesty.

FEAST will include:
*Bread and assorted butters
*Green beans almondine
*Brunswick Stew
*Beef brisket
*Brownies with walnut sauce

SITE FEE:  	Adults - $9 
		Halflings [5-12] $4 
		Quarterlings [0-4] FREE 
		Family Maximum $30

All prices include feast; make checks payable to SCA Inc., Black Oak
Keep.

Directions: Take your best route to Greenville, which is at the
crossroads of I-30 and U.S. 69. Take U.S. 69  north about 11 miles from
I-30 to Kellogg; 1/2 mile past Kellogg sign is C.R. 2194. Turn left.
Site is on right about 3 miles.
