Galen here!

For all those going to the Battle of Three Kings:

Sir Gunthar Jonsson has most graciously and chivalrously
accepted from me the mantle of playing Richard Neville,
Earl of Warwick, called the Kingmaker. I am deeply
indebted to him.

As a member of Bryn Gwlad's baronial order, and because
of my long-standing ties to that barony, I feel a strong
obligation to attend their event if possible. I thank
Sir Gunthar for making this possible for me.

The beer and dagger I promised to Warwick's troops will
be delivered to Gunthar on site, and he'll make sure it's
properly distributed. It's a nice little brass-hilted
double-edged dagger in a plain leather sheath, suitable
for custom decoration; Warwick's troops will decide who
among them has earned it.

To the good folk of the Shire of Rosenfeld, I am sorry
to have let you down, and I sincerely thank you for the
honor of asking me to fulfill this role. I'm sure that
Sir Gunthar will carry it off with his usual panache,
and perhaps we can do something in a future year.

To Sir Gunthar, my honest thanks for this favor; I'll
see you in the kitchen at 12th Night, ready to do what-
ever you need done.

To those fighters already committed or considering
fighting with Warwick, I urge you to do so. The Kingmaker
will yet lead you all to glory. And don't forget, you
get an extra hour to revel Saturday night; turn your
timepieces back!

Look for the "gules, a saltaire argent" (red with a
big white "X") of Warwick. Have great time in the fine,
partly-cloudy and warm weather, while we're in Bryn
Gwlad dodging "scattered thunderstorms" (according to
the on-line weather forecasts I saw).

Fight well, and don't get hurt!

- Galen of Bristol
