I thought you might all enjoy this paean.  What follows is a revision and 
"Ansteorrizing" by H.L. Kat Aretino (with permission) of a song written by 
 Lady Rosalind of Paradox Keep, Atlantia.   Lady Rosalind permits use of 
her works, provided they are properly attributed.  H.L. Kat gives her 
permission for this posting.


I sing in praise of Chivalry,
Of those who wear the belt and chain,
Of prowess and whose gallantry
Have stormed the field with might and main.
But Squires who defend their land
And swashbucklers with blade in hand
And archers who refuse to yield,
These too have honor on the field

	Nobility is not a crown
	Valor not the sword you bear
	Courtesy not empty words
	They are the heart of what we share.

I sing in praise of Laurels great
Those artisans who serve the land
Unparalleled in skill creating
Masterworks of heart and hand.
But clothiers with pins and threads
And cooks who work to bake our breads
And children painting in the lines
These, too, bring beauty to our minds.

I sing in praise of Pelicans --
Those noble birds of ancient days
Whose sacrifice and selfless acts
Enable us to play this game.
But marshals who attend the fight
And gate guards who stay up all night
And stewards who prepare the hall
These, too, give service to us all.

I sing in praise of Roses fair --
Of ladies who have worn the crown
In service to our kingdom bear
The weight of judgment good and sound.
But ladies who inspire their lords
To greatness and to chivalry,
With honor and with grace accord
Their love, and serve majestically.
