Yes it is. Pyramid schemes and other "Make Money Fast" (MMF) methods
have been around for years.

I doubt he is a subscriber and I don't know where he got the address
from.

I do not either, but unfortunately I am not willing to restrict posts to
members only. There have been many more useful postings by non-members
(IKAC, interkingdom anthropology, etc) than there has been of SPAM.
If/When the ratio changes, I will certainly re-evaluate my stance.

I am hoping that sendmail 8.9 is out of beta soon so that I can install
it on the server. This includes different methods of being able to
handle SPAM that would be acceptable for inclusion on such a server.
(Heck, if beta 7, the next one, is more stable, I am tempted to install
it since so far the beta 6 issues have been non-issues for my site.)
