               Known World Heraldic Symposium, A.S. XXXIV

                         Call for Papers

The Known World Heraldic Symposium of A.S. XXXIV (1999 C.E.) will be held on
June 11th--13th in the Shire of Aros, Nordmark, Drachenwald (International
Training Centre, University of Uppsala, Sweden).

The Symposium will have tracks on heraldry -- including armory, onomastics,
and court and field heraldry -- and the scribal arts. Those who wish to hold
classes and/or submit papers for the proceedings of the Symposium please
contact the program coordinator:

The deadline for the Proceedings is New Year's Day, A.S. XXXIV (May 1,
1999). We will accept just about any standard PC word-processing format,
plain text, TeX, or SGML-tagged text using a reasonable DTD; if in doubt,
please ask in advance. The deadline for classes without an article in the
proceedings is May 21 of the same year.

Those traveling to the event from overseas, please note that the Drachenwald
Coronation is scheduled for the next weekend, June 18th--20th. According to
