You are quite right. Sometimes we in the SCA have almost tunnel vision
when it comes to our interests. Animals in Western Europe were as
ubiquitous as Christianity, and are just as ignored in the SCA. It is,
indeed, difficult to study all aspects of the Middle Ages without stepping
on someone's toes.
