Boy, talk about your in-jokes.  I'm sure many of you have seen Stanley
Kubrick's _Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the
Bomb_.  Did anyone notice that the US President in the movie's named Merkin
Muffley?  Gee, I wonder what they were trying to imply?
