One day?  Would Sunday morning or Friday evening activities
work?  I don't think Friday would, because of people
travelling N hours, nor Sunday afternoon / evening, ditto,
but I think Sunday morning would.

Step 0: ask kingdoms of comparable size (e.g., not the West)
how they do it.
