You posted to the Ansteorran List:
"I just recently heard of your list and was wondering if you could give
me some info on it. I have a great interest in medieval history."

The Ansteorran List is used primarily by members of the Kingdom of Ansteorra,
an administrative branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. The SCA
is a world-wide organizqation devoted to learning more about the Middle Ages by
recreation. The Kingdom of Ansteorra is comprised of Texas and Oklaholma.

If you're interested in the SCA, there is most assuredly a group closer to
you! You are certainly welcome on the Ansteorra List, but you may wish to
contact SCA folks closer to you -- they will be holding tournaments, feasts and
other fun activities somewhere near you. Your post indicated that you were in
New York, so I am listing some info that will hopefully lead you to a SCA group
near you.

Here's some info that may help:

Contains a wealth of information gleaned from many SCA sources and arranged
topically.

There are lots of additional web resources helpful to those interested in the
Middle Ages. If you are interested in a specific topic, a web search will
normally lead you to more information on the subject. If your area of interest
is the Vikings, for instance, I have lots of interesting information available
on-line -- just ask me!
