I'll have to disagree with Timo here... I think that the biggest benefit
would be to the PARENTS! As someone who is (ab)used to take the load off
of my sister, let me tell you! It's nice to know that she's getting a
break and I get to run the little crumb critter ragged for a few hours.

WHOA WHOA WHOAAAAAAA! I wanna make this reeeeal clear... the intent of
this exercise is NOT to babysit kids (or young adults) for ANY length of
time. From the get go, one of the intrinsic points of doing this will be
that a parent will be *at* the listfield while young sir/dame X(note the
lower case letters) strives to achieve honor of his/her own. It's a
bonding/guiding/parent-there-should-the-freak-accident-occur/FAMILY deal.
Also, to clear it up, 'at the listfield' means 'able to touch the list rope'
while junior is fighting.

Back in the Outlands (at least in my ex-shire) we had childrens events
scheduled at all of our events. They worked out real well for the kids
and the parents.

SCA day care! Heh!

We often have childrens activities at events run through the MoC office.
This idea is a separate event that would (theoretically) fall under the
Marshallate. Also, if any of the MoCs *I* know hear you use 'day care' and
'childrens activities' synonymously... I fear for your safety.

On the side of clarifying my intent...
