spammers are notoriously tricky and creative people.  lock one door and 
they crawl in the window, board up the window and they come down the 
chimney ...

like virus protection, spam attacks blocked by filters only deal with known 
attacks, new attacks require new filters to be crafted and put in place ... i 
usually view spam like the flyers that get stuck on my door or under my 
window, automatically useless (but at least they are paper products that 
can go into my recycle collection bin ... so i suppose they have some 
minimal value unlike the electronic variations).
