On my home Linux system, and I suspect on many mail systems,
it delivers the shortest piece of mail first, then the next-shortest,
et cetera.

FOr trimming unneeded text in the message you're replying to,
think of it as the old, proud SCA saying, "We leave it
cleaner than we found it".
