Just as a side note,

I've been associated to the SCA for 22 years and I
was AoA in 1979 at a border war between Caid and
the West in Isles.  That was the last formal award
I ever earned so obviously I'm not trying that
hard to improve myself, but I'm not in the SCA
to win titles and rank, I'm in because I have fun
and through it have met some of the finest people
in the world.
