VIVAT!!!! This is what I see and hear in my head, while my flying fingers
try to keep up!  Remember what, why, and how your first foray into the
SCA felt like.  If we didn't like it, we wouldn't still be hanging around
after all these years!  We cherish the old "legends", but WE are the
new, and on, and on, and on................................
I admit it, I'm an incurable romantic, but I'm also too much of a social
realist to think we're perfect.  'Cause brothers and sisters, we ain't!
But, if those who are new to the SCA, see us warts and all, and still
want to play anyway, even better.  All it takes is a couple of minutes
to change someones impression of you, or the group as a whole, for
better or worse.  I would hope that we would all strive to make it the
better impression.
