ANST - Bottles and Brewing

Greetings to all fellow brewers! 

Do any of you have suggestions to simplify the removing of labels from
bottles? There has got to be a better method than scraping them off...

A few kinds came off easily when soaked; most are not so kind (I've
tried 
soaking them for up to as week.) The glue comes right off with petroleum
products, but I really do NOT want to have to soak my beer bottles in
gasoline... (grin!!!)
