that was prime reason asked the origional question ... the transfer of off-tastes 
between batches.  wasn't aware of the bleach issue though ... will file away

know of any bottled water companies that still sell in glass (haven't really looked into 
yet past the two empty plas' ones that are sitting next to my water dispenser)   
 
additional question ...
 
how does heat effect the fermentation process and storage for meads ... i lair in a 
house sans air conditioning that can get brutal in the summer (100+ in the living areas 
for 3-6 hours per day over last two weeks ... hasn't dropped below 80 at coolest) ... 
any suggested techniques (water baths, etc) to minimise any of these concerns ??? 

same question, but how about cold (uninsulated, a single space heater in living room, 
sections of house open to attic-space and from there via vents to outside .. ie: internal 
is usually close to ambient external temperature
