I have noticed how a central meeting place improves a group.
I've seen the loss of this place fragment groups in a way
that often takes several years to correct. Look at Namron
when it lost "The Loft". Even as a relative newcomer I saw
the change happen almost overnight. Meetings became gatherings
at someone's house instead of get-togethers at "Namron Central".
It doesn't have to be just a neutral area either. In the shire
that I currently abide the couple who held the group together
and had almost every gathering at their house split up. This
sudden lack of center was one of the reasons the shire began
to disintegrate. IMHO, a "lodge house" is one of the greatest
assets for a group.

Yers,

Gunthar
