Greetings from Baroness Neassa of Stargate. The Canton of Gate's Edge is
hosting Midsummer Faire VIII next weekend, June 5-7, at West Montgomery
County Park, Montgomery, Texas (3 miles north of Highway 105 on FM 149).

>From the May Gate's Edge newsletter: "You are invited to travel back to
Byzantium, 12th-13th century, as we choose a new Champion from the
assembled populace. Competitions include gaming, dancing, rapier,
chivalric, A&S and archery. Longbows only, please leave your crossbows
at home. There is a minimum number of competitions one must enter to be
in competition to be our Champion. Fighting does NOT have to be one of
the competitions."

Lord Ihon Vinson MacFergus is cooking a wonderful feast celebrating the
richness of 12th century Byzantium. The event announcement states
reservations are required, and the feast is limited to 100 persons.

Gate's Edge's events are always entertaining and a lot of fun to attend.
The site opens at 4pm on Friday and closes at noon on Sunday. Also, the
