Greetings all,

Last Saturday at the Fair was a roaring success, even if Sunday rained out again.   The prize tourney was run by a point system and included the fights on the mound, making them more intense than usual.   The outcome was very close.   The participating households did a great job and everyone had a wonderful time.   Attendance on Saturday was our best yet, with nearly all of the passes accounted for.   Phillipe Navarre reports 7 successful assassinations, including my own.    Due to the rain, all fights and most demos were canceled on Sunday, but we still had a good time singing bardic and storytelling in the gatehouse.   Sunday morning's period Anglican worship service in the TRF church was beautiful.   The prizes for the Sunday's tourney are being offered again by House Navarre on one of these last two weekends.

Most valiant		Wolf - hand painted scroll & medallion
Best death		Yoshi - hand painted scroll & medallion
Most interesting 		Harold - commemorative medallion
Ghost story		Michael - period candy bars
 2nd place		Ayla - they tossed her a bone

This weekend has no sponsor as yet, although several groups are planning activities.   Feast is being provided by the liaisons and coordinators, and will probably include slow cooked pot roast.   Weather should be beautiful this time, and the best death prizes still stand.   Plenty of passes, come on out and enjoy the Fair and the good times!
