community. Many of us are familiar with this great author and her humble
nature. She would always be the first to acknowledge her limitations. May
she rest in peace.

Dear Gia and List,

I just returned from a Costume Society of America board meeting where they
announced the news. There are current discussions of a special conference
and
memorial being planned in the spring through The Costume Society of England.

Janet Arnold was a generous and gracious person. She spent two full days at
Colonial Williamsburg in our costume production facility. And regularly sent
us follow ups to our authenticity problem. We have all lost a dear friend
and
special person.
I will be happy to post updated information as it is available on the plans.

She loved museums and costume collections so I memorial in her name to any
collection would be well used and she would smile from heaven knowing her
work
would continue.
