hmmm, my teachers always stressed that combat was one of the most
refined dances ... and the most difficult to master.

scenario question ... you enter the 10ft circle and give a archer a chance to
yield ... they choose to turn and run, are you allowed to use missle
weapons - a belt axe perhaps - to tag the fleeing foe or do you have to run
them down, turn them around face-face and clobber them? seems that
turning and fleeing from such a yield/combat situation should make you
vulnerable to touch kill or missle take-downs from the rear.

pity bola's aren't allowed (g)

one of the first teachers i ever ran into always stressed that there never any
honor lost to yielding to a superior foe (in this case as armed and armoured
and due to situation) ... offering a chance to yield is a point of honor,
accepting it is a equal point.

perhaps the concept could be expanded down the way to include arrainging
for friendly "ransom" of self after such a yield. turn the situation around,
many captured enemies that the other side is now honor-bound to protect
and maintain can be a serious PITA that can bog down and complicate
their martial plans ... so by yielding and not dying, you can become a
passive weapon to continue your cause.
