or one could use some of the wonderful online mapping resources to print out
the custom maps one needs to find the site (gotten lost by bad newsletter maps
way too many times in past ...) ... and in some cases even a topographic to
help decide where to camp before heading out

guess next step will be "tagging" your advance scouts with transponders ...
between that and a good GPS unit one should be able to rally in the middle of
the night anywhere ... (g)

"friend or foe" transponders and helm mounted "heads up" display anyone (++g)
...

some love the tech, some hate it - way i look at, "street finds uses for
things"

now that put's a entirely different perspective .... *basic* server hardware,
plus Pug, plus Pug's support system and bandwidth ... all for $2K

where can i buy that set ... but i want it all in matching designer colors -
black with red/silver trim (evil grin). wonder if Pug would sit still for a
paint and pin-stripe job ????
