<snip> So, in essence, that "profit" is our mandatory "donation" to
the life and future projects of that group. Similarly, we mandatorily donate
30% of the profits from Kingdom events directly to the Kingdom.

This has been said twice during this discussion so I thought I would
clear up a small misconception (Mirram, please correct me if I am wrong).

The percentage of profit from a Kingdom level event that is sent to
Kingdom is "customarily" 30%, but it is not mandatory. There is no legal
requirement that the money be sent at all. Of course, as it was put to me
by a former Kingdom treasurer, it is also not required that the group who
does not donate a good amount be granted another event.

And for those of you that have not been involved in planning a
Coronation, Queen's, King's College or other Kingdom event, believe me that
the money never really adds up to much. I was Steward for Mahadi's
Coronation, there were 500 people there and we ended up sending about $400
to the Kingdom. Other events, like King's college and Queen's often do not
show a profit at all (we lost $400 on Rowan's Queen's), therefor no money is
transferred.
