ANST - Roman hygiene

Bonjour from Madelina de Lindesaye!

For those interested in Roman culture, the Latin listserv
(latin at mlists.net)  has served up some interesting posts of late.
Being discussed are matters of hygiene, including toothpaste and the
laundering of clothes.  I will gladly forward copies to anyone who
desires such, but prefer not to repost the originals to the ANST
list, as some of the practices were, well, ...disgusting.
